Half-life 2
Lynnburn was my child city. The skies were always blue even in winter, everyone looked healthy
and kind, there was not one act of evil in the town. I loved where I grew up I had the highest
standard of life I could ever believe of. I never pondered that this was a sign that in some time
things will be completely different.

It began when I had just got into my teens, a fresh 13 year old trying to be normal for once. With
a house full of a crying, screaming, a thundering baby that is as active as a cheetah and as loud as
a rhino, it was quite difficult to think in my own head and act mature, I would never get a break
it was so hard being the eldest one but at least I had my friend Autumn by my side every step of
the way. Autumn and I had met when each other had gone to the Eastwest park to run from the
craziness and somehow we connected, we were both into legends especially the legend of Rose
Gallaway, her name disguised her devilish inside, Rose was extremely jealous of everyone in
Lynnburn she wanted to ruin everything for Autumn and I, She said that one day we would live
a half-life I had no idea what it was until I studied it.

Rose came back to the Eastwest park that Autumn and I go to every Friday, she thought we
couldn't recognise her and asked some questions but we knew exactly who she was and exactly
what she was capable of, she took out her wand, we thought it was a dream. We thought that
Rose wouldn't be able to do anything, I scowled at her as she perceived we knew who she was
and grinned back. As Autumn and I looked at the right half of Lynnburn the damage was already
done... half of Lynnburn had turned completely different. I could see the shock in Roses' face
“You two little mud rats broke my wand and now I’m banished here, one day I will turn Lynnburn
completely dark but for now you're stuck with the … I will come back for you, I swear it!” Rose
said with a scowl. Autumn and I dug ourselves in too deep.

The next week Autumn and I walked to the park we took our favourite route with our book of
Lynnburn legends. We were almost there as Autumn noticed black grass, the grass was never
black, not in what we've seen, I noticed it was coming from the shadow, (what we call the dark
side of Lynnburn) we registered that it led to Eastwest park. Very curious, we stepped toward the
park in slow steps we stopped by two light purple and turquoise wands, we knew they were
dangerous but still decided to lay them in our small hands. We began to float toward the park. In a
big effort, we dropped the wands and smashed them on the concrete. It was too late Rose had
found us. She was there waiting with a mighty grin on her ugly face. Instead of pulling out a
fierce wand she took out two babies in strollers Autumn and I immediately noticed it was our two
baby brothers Flame, Autumn's brother, and Ace my brother, even though we hate the awful
noises they generate but still have love, endearment and affection for them with all of our hearts.
We told her to hand them over but she refused and pushed them away and they teleported
somewhere we didn't know of. Rose said “turn around” so we did and there were Ace and Flame
sitting in the shadows with hawks eating leftover food off them. We were furious and eagerly
wanted them back. Tears fell down our cheeks as we found out there was no way back... or was
there?

the city and began to try pull out her wand but nothing was there. She whimpered and saw green
and red flames coming from the sky, Flame and Ace in the sky spitting fire, Rose again smiled
but was shocked when they fell, we all ran faster than ever (including Rose) we got there to find
Rose holding both babies, she caught them... maybe she wasn't all bad. Rose held up her wand
and potions and flew away in the sky. We haven't heard from her since. Autumn and I still live in
