Today is the first day of lockdown and my third day of staying home, we have been learning about measurement, I just finished another slide about it. here it is down below!
Kia ora Shayla-Jade, I am Donna Yates or everyone knows me as Whaea Donna. I am a facilitator for Manaiakalani and was working in your school in the past and now Whaea Deb works there. I really like your slide on measurement word problems using cm, m and km. You have worked out some hard problems on distance. I am impressed on how you remembered to add the measurement to your answers. How did you work these problems out? What types of strategies did you use? In slide 7 Max and Mr Oats are very, very tall 18.48km. Keep up the great posts and the fantastic learning you are doing from home. Keep safe! I am looking forward to reading more of your posts. Whaea Donna
Kia ora Whaea Donna! Yes I definitely remember you, thank-you for teaching me about using the internet! My faviourite stratedgy to use is a vertical algorithym when working out all types of maths problems, To me it's very easy to understand.
I noticed that mistake I made in slide 7, Max and Mr Oats are very tall indeed! all fixed now!
